Fantasy Life just came out for us European gamers and as in any RPG you want to make some money to buy decent gear. Luckily for you I have a way to quickly grind your way to some Dosh. On top of that you also get a lot of experience. (About 123 per 20 seconds.)

Step one: Shopping bream in Port Puerto

BUY ALL DAT SWEET BREAM

If you're already a chef you can skip the following paragraph, if not, read on!

You have a bunch of Lifes to choose from. This guide needs you to have a chef license at the very least. If you're currently enjoying the Paladin life you can always drop by Guild Hall and briefly change your life. You can always switch back to a different life later, but you need the Chef license and get some cooking skills for it to work best. You can only change your Life when you're not in the middle of a Tale of Lunares. When you finish a chapter you get a banner showing it's complete. After that and before talking to Flutter and furthering the plot you can change your Life. When you choose a different Life after being a chef you can still cook. (So you can still use the chef's table even when you're an angler, for example.)

HNI_0064When you play enough of the plot you get access to the area of Port Puerto. In the Port Puerto Marina area you'll find a few vendors towards the north. At the fish vendor you can purchase Port Puerto Bream. Buy as much as you can carry and afford.

Step two: Cook

HNI_0065
You can cook in any restaurant

After buying fish go north to the Port Puerto Palace way. In the northeast of the area you'll find a restaurant where you can prepare your dishes. Go to the tab with fish dishes and select the Bream Sashimi. You'll use two bream per dish.

This dish starts off giving 100 Dosh profit per dish. If you buy in bulk you can quickly make 100 dosh per few seconds.

This scheme gets more interesting as you level up this dish (by cooking it multiple times):

– Multi: You can cook in bulk (max 10. dishes per cook)
– Auto: By pressing 'y' you can automatically complete the dish. (You get less exp. this way though.)
– Auto+: Same as regular Auto, but you're way more likely to get Super dishes out of this.

If you're also doing the cook challenges (the ones that earn you stars) you eventually unlock the Chef special ability. This puts a little gauge in the bottom right corner. When you fill it up (by cooking) you can skip some steps. Basically what Auto mode does, but only for three steps of the cooking process. This is nice if you want to also get the exp. of cooking manually (about 123 exp. per bulk of 10 Bream Sashimi cooks) versus auto (73 exp. per bulk of 10 Bream Sashimi cooks) but still want to go through the cooking process quickly.

The math

Cost of ingredients = 600 x 2 = 1200 Dosh.
Bream Sashimi value = 1300
Super Bream Sashimi value = 1560
Net profit: 100-360 Dosh per dish.

When you've prepared all the Bream Sashimi one could ever desire, go back to the fish vendor you bought the Bream from and sell it. Then laugh all the way to the bank. I did this for a while and was able to buy two houses, nice gear and whatnot really quickly. On top of that, you level like crazy as well, which is nice when fighting enemies.

In short

  1. Be a chef
  2. Go to Port Puerto (second location you unlock)
  3. Buy as much Port Puerto Bream as you can afford at the fish vendor
  4. Prepare Bream Sashimi until you're out of Bream
  5. Sell that back to the fish vendor
  6. ???
  7. Dosh and experience
